Abstract:
The University Entrance Test in English for Speakers of Other Languages assesses listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills in students who wish to matriculate at British colleges and universities and whose first language is not English. The testing materials are intended to approximate the level of language likely to be encountered in an undergraduate academic environment (including a cassette of British English for the listening portion), and are particularly suited to candidates entering studies in science, engineering, business studies, and the social sciences. Results are reported on a four-point scale. Technical information on this test is not part of the EAC East collection.
